Jessi Alias Samantha Feel My Love!

To
Jessi Alias Samantha

Darling! It has been almost five years when I first saw you on a 70-mm Screen. In 2010, as a teenager when one of my friends said “Dude there is a new girl named Samantha in this movie Yem Maya Chesave,” I rushed to the theatre on the first day to see you.  Making me happy, you appeared on the screen in white gown in church as an angel. That movement I fell in love with you. In the next scene, when you appeared in a saree, god you squeezed my heart with your beautiful eyes and smile and the way you walked. I know you are not tall as Anushka, not fair as Tammanna, but you are the one and only Samantha, my Darling. Feel My Love!

Many Many Happy Returns of The Day.

Yours Lovingly Fan!

Piku – “It’s My Pet Name” says Deepika.

After impressing audiences with her glamour and acting in Ramleela, Deepika is all set to come back with Piku, which is going to hit screens on May 8th. Directed by Sujith Sarkar, Piku is a story between a father and daughter and their bonding. Talking about Piku, Deepika shares the way Sujith Sarkar portrayed her role, and her experiences with actors like Amitabh Bachan, and Irfan Khan.

Deepika says “Piku – It’s my pet name in the movie. In this movie, I played the role of a girl, who was born in Kolkata, and brought up in Delhi, so I am Modern Girl. Amitabh Bacchan played the role of my dad.  He too has a pet name in the movie! That is Baba. He calls me Piku and I call him Baba.  The highlights of this film are the scenes in which we both acted together.  Even though the story runs in Delhi, it is the story that happens in every house of our country. I did act with Amitabhji in Arakshan, but only when acting with him together in Piku, I realized how great actor he is.  He mingles with everyone easily in the sets.  Every experience that I have gone through working with him in this movie will be helpful for my career.  Coming to Irfan Khan, this is my first time to act with him.  He becomes a powerhouse when he comes before camera.  Sujith Sarkar has already proved what he is with the movie, “Vicky Donor.”  He adds up humour to sensitive issues very well.  I didn’t listen to the entire plot of Piku, Sujith narrated me one scene and I just said ok to the project. That is the confidence I have in him.  There is a lot of difference between real-life Deepika and Piku. Because I was brought up in South India and in the movie I acted as a North Indian girl. Of course I did take care of my dressing, bindi and Sujith was surprised on the first day of shooting and said “yes my Piku should look exactly like this”.
